De Yo-Yo en el foro ruso

http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1 ... tcount=247
Jim Mackonochie has gone from us forever. Our producer, our source of inspiration. A British naval officer. A true gentleman.

Jim loved both the sea and the sky as a child loves - purely and unconditionally. He must have inherited this from his father, a crew member of the HMS Belfast and then a naval test pilot. Jim’s love for the sea affected his chosen profession and later, his passion for yacht racing. His love of the sky is what we are all indebted to for bringing to the world such amazing flight simulations. He stood at the foundation of the Flanker series, before that played a key role in the creation of the Falcon series, and before that participated in the birth of many other games. It’s hard to overestimate his influence in the modern flight simulation genre. In many ways he is responsible for the creation of a forward observer in DCS and the eventual expansion into controllable artillery and other ground units, as well as the formation of the DCS: Flying Legends series. Jim always demanded the impossible from us, but invariably his demands became realized and popular features.

Jim was also a wonderful person – kind, attentive, caring. Our TFC/ED colleagues from all over the world were always welcome in his home. It just so happens, that Jim was the first Englishman whom I got to know closely and you could say he adopted me to Great Britain. A country is no longer foreign when there is a home, in which you are always a welcome guest.

Now I feel a sudden emptiness, as if a piece of my heart has been torn out. Something that has not been completed, not heard through to the end, not finished saying…

Jim’s last post on the forum was short and symbolic: “yes”. That is the essential Jim – a man of a generation that saw the premier of “Yellow Submarine”, a bright individual that truly loved life.

Farewell, Jim. Rest in peace.

Not possible, it's integrated into the External Flight Model dll that is written specifically for this aircraft.

Not much has happened over the past few weeks. Time constraints have limited what we can do, but work has resumed on rebuilding the internal cockpit. Parts of the right side of the cockpit have been rebuilt again in better detail, and once the left side is done we will begin texture work on the cockpit. We lost our modeler that was working on the cockpit, which is why we haven't had any updates for a while.

UPDATE

Here is a real quick update on current progress. Systems development had been on hold during the first quarter of this year to wait until the template was ready for all of our cockpit development code in LUA could be converted to C++ and built into a dll. This past weekend a lot of groundwork was laid and work began on the conversion. Several entire systems are now operating in dll and many performance gains have been seen.

Stay tuned for more regular updates on this thread in the coming weeks.

Aye, the Team is moving on coding of 3D cockpit logic and Flight Dynamics (AFM).

For this time, no screenshots or little movie are not showed for not delay the work around the aircraft.

The coding curve is extremely high and dangerous ( if you break a line, everything can go off...)

The develop for FSX is more simple and fast, so the team of Mil-Sim is restricted to 3 persons, btw, we are working hard to finish the first Alpha Module (End of 2013, I guess)

Andrew

25 April 2013 Update

Dear all,

The past week or so has been more than a bit traumatic with the loss of a dear friend and our studio director has been away on travel in the US (in fact, meeting with me yesterday). One result of the meeting was him granting me much more freedom in how I can pass along information here. Earlier we had a more complex system of checks for public announcements that could slow things down dramatically. This will be changing in the form of weekly Friday updates starting next week.

Many of you are wondering and openly asking, "what's up with 1.2.4 and UH-1?!?" The BST UH-1H pre-purchase beta version is ready to go, but in order for it to work within DCS, we must release it concurrently with DCS ver. 1.2.4. Unfortunately, over the past week we had a few of A-level blocking bugs that prevented this from happening (like flares that had no effect on IR-guided missiles and ground units that would crazily warp around the map in network play). We think these have now been resolved and the 1.2.4 software is being retested. Once we are sure these have been resolved, both 1.2.4 and UH-1H will be released. Given the nature of bug hunting / extermination, I'm afraid that I cannot provide a release date.

While 1.2.4 has added several new features and fixed quite a few bugs, we do not pretend that it has cleaned up all outstanding issues, like performance impact from some types of cluster munitions. Such issues will continue to be worked on and addressed in 1.2.5 and beyond.

Thanks,
Matt

Re: DCS: Updates....

C-101 jueves info XD

http://www.escuadron69.net/v20/foro/ind ... ntry826905

Asi a destacar:

Re: DCS: Updates....

FW-190-D9

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=104773
There has been quite the clamoring for some more images of the new AI-only Fw-190-D9 aircraft that will be free as part of the upcoming ver. 1.2.4. For now this is AI-only, but work is already on-going making it human flyable at the same level as our P-51D.

We understand why the inclusion of P-51D into DCS raised a lot of eyebrows, but in the coming months and years, we intend to gradually flesh the WW2 combat environment out with units and maps. In fact, we have a partner with quite a lot of experience in this area! However, this is a big undertaking, so as much as some folks may wish, we cannot do it all at once as a single package. Rather, we will gradually add new components as they are ready from Eagle and our partners.

In order to release 1.2.4, and thereby DCS: UH-1H Huey, several bugs were knowingly released in this version. However, the team is hard at work at resolving this ASAP and we plan to have an auto-update fix coming soon. In fact, there are several fixes already implemented in our internal code, but we ran out of time to get them into the 1.2.4 installers.
